Mind Chair MK3 (2010)

Mind Chair MK3 has a bank of 400 solenoids as the back rest of the chair.

These receive information from a video input which is downgraded by an onboard computer to the resolution of the chair. The 400 solenoids generate a lot of heat, which is dissipated through aluminium heat-sinks and fans. The chair accepts any composite video input like an iPad or a webcam.

Mind Chair MK3 can place images in the users mind through his/her back. The first chair to use this technique was an old dentist chair, the brain child of Professor Paul-Bach-Y-Rita, working in the early 1960's. Beta Tank found the old schematics and started to re-build the chair almost 50 years later.
